There are some couples you’ll meet in life and you’ll think to yourself how perfectly matched they are. Millie & Ben are one such couple.
Since both the Bride & Groom live in Texas, I hadn’t had the pleasure of meeting either of them until we rolled up to the family farm in Walsh, Colorado where we were to photograph their intimate wedding. We were honored to be present and happy to be able to capture the wedding day moments for them.
Even though the wedding was small it was no less magnificent. With Millie’s artistic direction, Millie, Ben & their family lovingly decorated the wedding site. And Ben’s contribution was no less than the impressive handmade altar he erected for the occasion.
Without further ado, I present the photos from their wedding day.

Millie & Ben share a moment. Love this shot.
Olive branches gracing the altar (how amazing is this altar that Ben made in about 3 hours?).

The Bride pins the boutonniere on her dad’s jacket while her best friend looks on.

I came around the corner to catch up with Millie & her dad and caught him snapping a photo of the two of them on his phone.

And I’m guessing they saw the photo and were pretty amused by it.

These two weren’t short on smiles or laughter! :)

I always love capturing the moment when the Dad passes along his daughter to her soon-to-be husband.

Millie & Ben among lovely olive trees.
The wind was ridiculous that day! It was blowing constantly up to 40mph. I’m so happy I was able to get some shots without hair in Millie’s face. How adorable is she? :)
And nearby was a beautiful wheat field that stretched on for miles.
The stunning bride.
And handsome groom.
And finally, we finished the day in Ben’s favorite spot.
Millie & Ben, you two are awesome and we wish you much happiness and joy!

these are incredible — the really cute preacher belongs to me — love that one picture of his great big grin — that is Eddy all over the place — he said it was a joy to work with you
Thanks, Yvonne! Eddy seemed to be smiling the whole time which was awesome!

Thanks, Buzz & Merilee! I’m happy to hear the personalities shine through – it’s always a goal but not always easy to capture their true selves. :)
