
There are part of the grounds surrounding the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, Japan, that are kinda weird and seem to stretch on for some distance.
This section had a bunch of widely-spaced trees and appeared to really serve no other function than a spot for them to be planted. It wasn’t really a place to picnic and there were no paths you could take that would lead you through the trees.
But despite the seeming lack of purpose I still thought they looked pretty cool. The shape of the trees was a bit unique since the pine needles were more sparse than some other trees I’m used to seeing in Colorado.
