This was something I definitely didn’t expect to see in the middle of a bustling urban city: a horse & carriage straight out the 1800s.
We were wandering around the grounds of the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, Japan, and spotted this cavalcade of horses. What a funny & unexpected thing!
Because I don’t speak Japanese, I wasn’t able to find out what it was all about, but the carriage was empty so maybe they were practicing for some important event with big-time people.
Guess it just goes to show you, you never know what you’ll come across when traveling!
