Majestic Dolomite Mountains of Italy :: Weekly Photo

Today I wanted to share a photo from one of my favorite places ever: the Dolomites of Italy.

Dolomite Mountains of Italy

This particular image was taken as my husband and I were riding up the chairlift in the Alpe di Siusi region of northern Italy. Alpe di Siusi (also known as Seiser Alm) is a huge meadow that’s surrounded by these ridiculously gorgeous mountain peaks. The Dolomites are made of limestone and they have a unique look that I haven’t seen elsewhere.

This region of Italy is truly one of my favorite places in the world and if you have the chance, I’d highly recommend a visit. :)

Iconic Subjects of London, England :: Weekly Photo

In this week’s photo we’re flying across the Atlantic pond to our destination of: London, England.

London's Red Telephone Booths, the Underground & Parliament

I wanted to share this image with you because I think it captures a few of the most iconic British things: a red telephone booth (does anyone use these anymore?), an Underground Tube stop (aka subway station) & part of the magnificent Parliament building (though the most well-known tower Big Ben is out of view).

The area where I took this image is chock full of sights to see: Trafalgar Square and Westminster Abbey are both a quick stroll from here, as is 10 Downing Street, the official headquarters of Her Majesty’s Government. Buckingham Palace is maybe a 10 minutes’ walk, and just across the Thames river over the Westminster Bridge is the London Eye. And that’s just to name a few!
